I am passionate about the people side of business change which so many businesses seem to overlook despite all the research that shows the main reasons the majority of change fails to deliver its intended value are people related. Businesses that handle change badly struggle to deliver sustainable results and they also have a damaging impact on the quality of life of the people who work for them and their families. I’m about helping businesses get the people side of change right so they deliver lasting value and build engagement.
I have worked in Financial Services for nearly 20 years and have helped a number of businesses turn around their fortunes through delivering record-breaking increases in colleague engagement and through aligning employees to the company purpose and strategy. I have built a reputation for transforming communications and engagement teams from tactical operators to strategic enablers and have won several awards for my efforts. Despite working in the Financial Services sector for most of my career, I have never been a typical Financial Services person and count personal styling among my hobbies. My career highlights include helping RSA Insurance reach world-class levels of employee engagement in just 3 years and more recently as Group Head of Internal Communications and Engagement at Allied Irish Bank, helping the company deliver one of the biggest surges in engagement over a two-year period of any company based out of Europe ever.
